MAJOR ALERT! LOCATION CHANGE...

THE NCAA HAS STEPPED IN AND CHANGED THE SHOWDOWN IN THE SOUTH LOCATION.  ONE OF THE MANY OBSCURE NCAA RULES STATE THAT YOU CAN NO LONGER HAVE HIGH SCHOOL EVENTS AT COLLEGE LOCALES.  WEIRD, BUT TRUE.  THE SHOWDOWN IN THE SOUTH EVENT HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE A-GAME FACILITY IN COOL SPRINGS.

WE ARE NOT THE ONLY VICTIMS.  CHECK THIS OUT...

Per NCAA rules, the games WILL NOT take place at Belmont University on Saturday. This is a brand new rule, remember the games were played there last year.  I received a call from Belmont University yesterday afternoon explaining that we may have an issue with the games being played at the university. We tried, for 24 hours, to try and get a waiver, because this event is so close. Unfortunately, the university was not granted one.  This is a new "boys basketball" rule that Belmont and I were not made aware of until yesterday.  I would assume that the rule was created to stop university's from gaining and advantage in recruiting, by hosting these recruits on their campus during these games. I am deeply disappointed that the games will not take place at the Curb Event Center. However, the games will be played at another venue, most likely at a local high school. The venue will be decided and agreed on before the end of the school day. So, new place, same time. I will still be covering ALL EXPENSES, WE WILL HAVE THE SAME AWARDS, COACH'S HOSPITALITY ROOM, AND TEAMS WILL RECEIVE MEALS AFTER THE GAME.  Once again, please accept my apologies, but it is simply out of our control. Let's make the best of the situation. Belmont University will also be releasing a statement today. I will forward the statement to all of you. I will be calling all of you within the next couple of hours to make sure that you received this email. I may not be able to contact you by phone, so email me back when you receive it. I have attached this article about the event in Rupp Arena that was also forced to move to a high school.
