What's next for Chris Thomas? Who committed this weekend? Are there important visits next weekend? Check out our latest Recruiting Rundown.

What’s next for Thomas?

Chris Thomas reopened his recruitment on Sunday. So what’s next for the former top 10 high prospect and current Junior College sensation?Based on my conversation with Chipola coach Patrick Blake, Thomas, a 6-foot-5 scorer, wants to see who gets involved and my guess is he’ll have plenty of suitors based on his raw talent.
In fact, Chipola is likely to be a busy destination this week, as many coaches will head in to not only evaluate Thomas, but also show their face and try and get involved with the Colorado natives recruitment. The coaches that show up this week are likely to be the ones involved until the end.
For those that aren’t familiar with Thomas, he was once a top 10 prospect in the 2013 class. Last January, as a junior at South Kent (Conn.) School, Thomas left for Chipola College.
Thomas committed to Xavier in early April.

Commitments finally slow down

The past few Sundays have been quite busy on the commitment front. That slowed down this week.
With that said, there still was one top 100 prospect that came off the board on Sunday. Tim Quarterman, Scout.com’s No. 80 prospect, committed to LSU, becoming the second top 100 prospect to pledge to Johnny Jones this week.
Outside of Quarterman, the biggest news of the weekend was Thomas’ decision to reopen his recruitment.
There are now only 36 top 100 prospects still available, including 27 prospects ranked among Scout.com’s top 50 players.

Coming up?

There are a handful of key visits this coming weekend. As always our full breakdown will post on Friday, but here’s a preview of some of the important trips that will take place this weekend:
Duke – Austin Nichols
Florida – Julius RandleChris WalkerKasey Hill
Syracuse – Tyler Roberson
Texas -- Jajuan Johnson

Commitment Catch Up

*Tennessee State scored two players off of Team Nashville this past weekend. While on official visits, Jamontae Davis and Jamonte’ Graham committed to TSU.Davis is a 6-foot-8 forward out of Hillsboro High School. He had interest from Murray State, Mercer, MTSU, Libscomb and College of Charleston.
Graham, a 6-foot-1 guard, entertained interest from Austin Peay, Steson and Chatanooga. Graham also had interest to play football in college, but opted to stick with hoops.
*Richard Pitino and Florida International scored a big one Sunday night. Daquein McNeil, of Saxtons River (Vt.) Vermont Academy, should help FIU on the perimeter from the minute he steps on campus. At 6-foot-3, possibly 6-4, McNeil has a scorers mentality and he’ll likely be called upon to do that for the Golden Panthers.
*Colorado picked up three-star wing prospect Tre'Shaun Lexing on Saturday. Lexing is Colorado's third pledges for
